You can fine-tune how images, sound, and animations appear in Web pages.
Web pages are made up of a combination of text and images. Click the images button on the Address bar to turn images off and drastically increase page-loading speed.
Animated images are mostly advertisement banners. Turn animation off to get a calmer browsing experience.
Some Web pages contain video streams and background sounds. Turn them off if you find them annoying.
Some sites use Java to offer interactive software within a browser. Disable Java to hide Java applets in Web pages.

Plug-ins are third party software enabling multimedia in Web pages. You must download and install plug-in software for each type of plug-in content. Disable plug-ins to avoid plug-in content in Web pages.
JavaScript may in rare cases be used intrusively and can therefore be turned off (F12). Note, however, that some pages will not work without JavaScript.
To get technical information about JavaScript problems on a page, turn on the JavaScript console.
