Languages

You can decide the language of the user interface, and the languages you prefer to read Web pages.

User interface

To have the user interface in a particular language:

Method A: Download a full localized version:

1. Go to the download page
2. Click on the page and pick out your language
3. Download and install the file

Method B: Download a language file:

1. Go to the language page
2. Download your desired language file
3. Install the language file like told on the page

You can download all the languages you want and select between them in the drop-down menu in Preferences

Web pages

Set the order of your most fluent languages to make multi-lingual sites appear in the most suitable language the site can offer.

If your preferred language is not in the list, enter it in the "User defined" field. Note: Only officially supported types are recognized.

Fallback encoding

Encoding for international characters in Web pages is determined in the following order.

1. Your explicit choice in the View menu
2. Encoding set by server
3. Encoding set by page
4. Fallback encoding set in Preferences
