1. Introduction
---------------
Stop-the-Pop is an aggresive pop-up blocker preventing all annoying pop-up windows from appearing as you surf the web.
You can temporarily disable Stop-the-Pop by holding the Control key and pop-up and browser windows will be allowed.

Stop-the-Pop is compatible with Internet Explorer 5.X, 6.X, Netscape 5.X, 6.X and Opera 6.X. It is light on your system's resource and requires no setup.

Stop-the-Pop is Windows NT/2000/XP compatible.


2. Install
----------
Follow these two steps to install the software:
1. Create a directory suitable for installation. For example, "c:\Program Files\stopthepop\"
2. Extract the zip file into the directory. If you don't have a zip extractor, please download Winzip here.

Please make sure that the directory structure is preserved from the zip file.

        faq.html
        manual.html
        stopthepop.exe
        system/
            hook.dll

The installation is now finished.


3. Uninstall
------------
Locate the folder where the software is installed and delete it.


4. Running Stop-the-Pop
-----------------------
To run Stop-the-Pop double-click the "stopthepop.exe" file. That's all! Once started it will block all browser pop-ups. Pleasant surfing!

Please let us know if we should support any of the older versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape and Opera, or if there are other browsers that Stop-the-Pop should support.
