Fades the source image using a grayscale mask. THe darker the shade, the more transparent the source image will become. EyeBatch comes installed with 40 different masks, or user masks can be selected. To make a mask, simply create a grayscale image. Black sections will cause the image to be fully transparent, White sections fully opaque, and various shades of grey will cause the image to be partially transparent. The mask will be resized to fit the source image.
Choose from 40 built in masks. To add new masks to the drop down list, copy them into the Masks directory in the application path and make sure they are PNG's with a .png extension.
Rotate for Best Fit will rotate the image 90 degrees if the aspect ratio of the mask image is closer to the source image when rotated.
Invert Mask reverses the mask image
User Mask allows a custom mask to be selected. Only a grayscale image is required, although any image will work.
The masks installed in EyeBatch were created by Sue Chastain of Guide to Graphics Software from About.com. There are many more of her masks specially created for EyeBatch available to download at http://www.atalasoft.com/eyebatch/masks.html. Placing these downloadable masks in the masks folder will add to the existing 40 masks available in the drop-down list. You can download even more of her masks created for About.com and free to use by clicking here.
