Image Preview

EyeBatch allows you to dynamically preview an image while modifying image operations. The default option chooses a preview image automatically based on the last image that was chosen when selecting images under the "Select Images" tab. By changing the Preview Image Settings in "Preferences", the preview image can also be manually selected.

The preview image will be saved in memory in order to show the effect of any lossy compression due to JPEG's, file size changes, or changes in bit depth. For example, if you choose to save a 24 bit Bitmap as an 8 bit PNG image, it will show the reduction of colors, and the reduction of file size.

The preview image will show the bit depth both before and after processing. This is useful for determining the output image bit depth. For example an image with a bit depth of 32 will be saved as an RGBA image (with transparency).

Both the preview image before and after image operations can be viewed by double clicking the picture, or selecting the appropriate menu pick.

The image will initially be automatically rescaled to fit the picturebox. The percent zoom is shown below the image in the zoom combo box and can be modified. If the image is zoomed larger then the picturebox, it can be panned around by clicking and dragging the mouse on the picture.
