Customizing Dreamweaver overview

Dreamweaver offers many opportunities for customization, so that you can work the way that's most familiar, comfortable, and efficient for you—all while generating spotless code.

The following include some of the ways you can customize Dreamweaver:

Rearrange the objects in the Object palette so that the ones you use most often are always visible, create new panels to reorganize the objects, or add new objects. See Changing the Object palette and Insert menu.
Edit SourceFormat.profile to get even finer control over the HTML that Dreamweaver creates. SourceFormat.profile includes all the settings from the HTML Format preferences and more. See Editing the HTML source formatting profile.
Edit existing browser profiles or create new ones to get the exact feedback you want about how your page will work in different browsers. See Creating and editing browser profiles.
Set preferences for everything from color schemes and highlighting to site configurations and browsers. See Setting preferences.
