The Library palette displays all of the items in the current library along with the library controls listed here. To add items to the current page, drag them from the list directly to the page or select them and click Add to Page. Click Open to make changes to the item.

Create Adds the current selection in the Document window to the library as a new item.
Delete Removes the selected item from the library.
Open Opens the selected item in a new window for editing.
Add to Page Places the selected library item in the page at the cursor location.
