Changing the stacking order of layers

Use the Property inspector or the Layer palette to change the stacking order of layers. The layer at the top of the list is at the top of the stacking order.

In HTML code, the z-index determines the order in which layers are drawn in a browser. You can change the z-index for each layer using the Property inspector or the Layer palette, but the following procedure is much simpler.

To change the stacking order of layers:

1 Choose Window > Layers to open the Layer palette.
2 Select a layer in the Layer palette and drag it up or down.
3 Release the mouse button when a line appears between the layers.
