Use the Object palette or the Insert menu to create a new table.
To insert a table:

Place the cursor where you want the table to appear on the page and click the Table button on the Common panel of the Object palette or choose Insert > Table. |

Drag the Table button from the Object palette to the desired location on the page. |
2 | In the dialog box that appears, enter the following information: |
Rows and Columns Specify the number of table rows and columns. | |
Cell Padding Specifies the amount of spacing between the cell content and the cell boundary (or wall). | |
Cell Spacing Specifies the amount of spacing between each table cell, not including the border. | |
Width Specifies the width of the table in pixels or as a percentage of the browser window. Tables specified in pixels are better for precise layout of text and images, while tables specified in percentages are a good choice when the proportions of the columns are more important than their actual widths. | |
Border Specifies the width of the table border. | |
Note: If you want to insert a table without having to first specify these options, turn off the Show Dialog When Inserting Objects option in the General preferences. See General preferences. | |
