Setting HTML source format controls

Dreamweaver has the following controls for formatting HTML source code:

HTML Rewriting preferences Control what changes, if any, Dreamweaver makes to your HTML source code when you open an HTML document. See HTML Rewriting preferences.

HTML Format preferences Control common HTML formatting options, such as line length and indentation. See HTML Format preferences.

The SourceFormat.profile gives you the greatest degree of control over exactly how Dreamweaver writes HTML. See Editing the HTML source formatting profile.

HTML Colors preferences Control how HTML tags (and the text between them) are color coded in the HTML inspector. See HTML Colors preferences.

Fonts/Encoding preferences Let you specify the font in which your HTML source code appears in the HTML inspector. See Fonts/Encoding preferences.
