Modifying the site map layout

Use the Site Map Layout options to customize the appearance of your site map. You can specify the home page, the number of columns displayed, and whether to show hidden and dependent files.

To modify the site map layout:

1 Open the Site Definition dialog box using one of these methods:
Choose Site > Define Sites and then click Edit. Select Site Map Layout in the Category list on the left.
Choose View > Layout (Windows) or Site > Site Map View > Layout (Macintosh).
2 Choose from the following options:
Home Page Specifies the home page for the site map. If you don't specify a home page—and Dreamweaver cannot find a file called index.html or index.htm at the root—Dreamweaver will prompt you to select a home page when you open the site map.
Number of Columns Sets the number of pages that are displayed per row in the site map.
Column Width Sets the column width, in pixels, of the site map.
Icon Labels Determines whether file names or page titles are displayed under the icons in the site map. You can change file names and page titles from the site map.
Display Files Marked as Hidden Displays HTML files that are marked as hidden in the site map. If a page is hidden, its name and links are displayed in italics.
Display Dependent Files Displays all dependent files in the site's hierarchy. A dependent file is an image or other non-HTML content that is loaded by the browser when the main page is loaded.
