The template's page properties control all of the document's options except for the page title. For any document that uses a template, changes to its page properties (except for the title) are ignored. To change the properties of a page after a template has been applied, modify the page properties for the template and then update the pages that use the template. See Modifying templates and updating the site.
To define the template's page properties:
