Names in Lotus 1-2-3 97

You can name cells and ranges of cells in Lotus 1-2-3 by highlighting the cells to be named and then selecting Range, Name and typing a name for the range in the Name text box.

You can access the name list by pressing the F3 key and use these names in your formulae. Unfortunately, unlike Excel, in the type of worksheet shown in Figure 1c you'll need to use absolute range names in your formulae or they won't copy correctly. So, in the Lotus 1-2-3 equivalent of Figure 1c, cell C7 should be written as =$Markup*B7 so that the formula will copy correctly down the column.

The navigator at the top-left of the screen contains a list of names and you can use this to add names to your formulae or move to a named range. The F5 key is a Goto key in Lotus and will offer you any names on your worksheets as targets of your move.
