Microsoft has provided a Windows NT 4.0 Compatibility Test Tool, which is available from its Web site at http://www.microsoft.com/NTWksSupport/ or on our PC User Offline CD this month. This tool examines your PC and tells you if it can support Windows NT Workstation or Server 4.0. It also provides you with a summary of detected hardware. The Test Tool requires Windows 95, or Windows NT 3.x or higher to run properly.

DOS programs are best installed from the DOS prompt. We have provided an Install link for some programs which may install under Windows, but then again they may not. If the install fails you should exit to DOS, log onto the directory listed, and run the install from the DOS prompt.
