Established in August 1996 HarvestRoad is a software technology company specialising in the research, development and market implementation of advanced software applications for the world wide web.

The result of our research and development is the HarvestRoad Knowledge Management System which comprises the HarvestRoad Web Site Publishing and Management System and the HarvestRoad Distributed Publishing and Management System. This system provides a simple and cost effective way for organisations and communities of interest to create a wide area-publishing environment using Internet Protocol. All that is required at the desktop is a web browser. All that is required on the Internet side is a web server.

Without doubt the HarvestRoad Web Site Publishing and Management System achieves its goal of solving many of the issues experienced by diverse groups in an organisation publishing content to a web site today. Perhaps more importantly however, is the significant break from current thinking that publishing on the Internet can only be achieved via a web site. The HarvestRoad Distributed Publishing and Management System provides the ability to publish and retrieve documents from the web as original documents.
