E-mail scanning detects viruses in the body and attachments of e-mail messages and removes them before they can do damage. E-mail scanning is on by default.
To enable or disable E-mail scanning:
Select Antivirus|Main.
In the Protection area, click Antivirus Options.
The Advanced Antivirus Settings dialog appears.
Under Advanced Settings, select E-mail Scan.
Select or clear the Enable E-mail Scan check box, then click OK.
