Troubleshooting

If there is trouble using the wireless communication facilities, the following points may help to resolve the problem:

• Check that Pocket PC Creations is running on the desktop PC, and the wireless server is enabled (available under the Tools menu).
• Check that wireless functions are enabled on the Pocket PC (available under the Wireless Options menu on the main Pocket PC Creations screen).
• If problems are present with a specific project, check that wireless synchronisation is enabled for this project. This can be set under Project Properties. Also check that the latest version of the project has been installed on the Pocket PC.
• Check that the password entered into the PC and the Pocket PC is the same.
• Check that the IP address in the "Host" field on the Pocket PC is the correct IP address for the desktop PC hosting Pocket PC Creations server.
• Verify that the underlying connection equipment, such as wireless LAN cards or mobile phone connections, are functioning properly. This is by far the most common cause of problems.
