Link points do not collect any data, but rather serve as shortcuts to another page in the project or an external URL, such as an Internet web site or document.
Links to other pages are particularly useful for producing a main contents page at the beginning of the project, or sub menu pages to simplify navigation. A contents page with Link points can be generated automatically via the Add Contents Page command on the Edit menu.
Links to Internet URLs, eg http://www.pocketpccreations.com/ will launch Pocket Explorer and open the URL, if an Internet connection is available.
Links to files on the device, eg \Documents\SalesTeam.xls will first prompt the user to confirm that they wish to open the document as a security precaution, and then open it in the corresponding application.
On-screen, links appear as underlined blue text, preceeded by a bullet point.
A Link point can be designated as an automatic link, in which case it will not be visible to the user. In this case, the Link point can be controlled by a Logic point elsewhere on the page.
When the Logic point's condition is met, the automatic Link point will activate and jump to the elected page, or open the appropriate URL.
Note: Links do not require an ID name, as they do not collect any data.
