The Data Window

The Data Window is used to store, view and manage project sessions. The Pocket PC Creations database appears as a grid, or spreadsheet view.

The Data Window is configurable via the Data menu. It has two orientation modes: horizontal and vertical. In horizontal mode, consecutive records appear in vertical columns progressing to the right of the window. Each piece of information collected is listed down the first column on the left.

The vertical orientation mode is similar to traditional data views. Consecutive records appear in rows progressing down the window. Each piece of information collected is listed across the first row.

By default, the Data Window displays records in ascending chronological order. This is known as "Oldest First" behaviour. "Newest first" behaviour can be selected to show the newest records first using the Data menu.

An individual session data set or groups of sessions data sets can be selected in the Data Window using either the mouse or the keyboard. To select multiple sessions, click and drag with the mouse.

Once one or more sessions or data sets have been selected, they can be opened as a session (double-click), exported to another application, sent out to a Pocket PC in the field, or deleted. To access a list of available options, right-click the data set selected with the mouse.
