Guidelines

Below are a number of guidelines/suggestions that will help you create Artwork files.

Don't make an Artwork too large. The maximum recommended size is 640x480 since the display on many computers may be set to 640x480. However, there is nothing to prevent you from making a much larger Artwork.

Save your work often. As you work, get into the habit of saving the Artwork from time to time. You can also save individual layers at different stages by changing the name of the layer each time you save it.

When creating an Artwork, use 16-bit color (High Color) if possible. Since some video cards do not support True Color (24-bit), you should set your display (Control Panel - Display - Settings) to High Color when creating an Artwork. However, if you are going to create a complex drawing where a large number of colors are required, use True Color (24-bit) or greater. When a True Color Artwork is played on a computer that is set to High Color, a message will be displayed to the user that the Artwork may appear distorted and will suggest changing to True Color mode.
