Adobe Acrobat Reader

Before you can view the Pocketbooks on this month's CD, you will need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader. For those of you who have not used Adobe Acrobat Reader before, read on for a brief tutorial on it's how to use the program, or click here to install the program.

Using Adobe Acrobat Reader

When you first launch a PDF (.pdf) file, Acrobat will either start up independently or in an web browser if you are viewing Net content. In the case of our Pocketbooks, Acrobat will be launched in your browser.

You may find reading the text difficult. However, this can easily be solved by clicking on the magnifying glass on the main toolbar. You can also choose your preferred viewing size (as a percentage) on the lower left hand corner of the program window, as shown in the picture below.

You can also view each individual page within a PDF file by choosing the thumbnail view as shown below. The thumbnail view can be chosen by clicking it's icon on the main toolbar next to the hand icon. This makes viewing a large page or section easier.

Now that you have learnt the basics of using Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can now install the program. Choose the type installation for your operating system below.
