Illuminatus Opus 5

Notwithstanding our advice on PC User's April cover CD, the version of Illuminatus Opus provided by its developer, Digital Workshop, times out on August 1, 2001. In its place, Digital Workshop is offering the release of its predecessor package, Illuminatus 4.5, on this month's CD.

This version is not time limited, and features the ability to publish and distribute projects to a single executable file in standalone mode in a variety of formats. However, it does not feature support for TIF and GIF files.

Illuminatus 4.5 also comes complete with samples and templates, and the ability to import and export HTML. This is a considerable advance over the original package offered in the PC User Edition of Illuminatus Opus, which could not run multimedia projects without the full version of Illuminatus Opus.
