Name	Description
aBeSee	A nice image viewer. It works a lot like a file manager but allows you to see the whole picture in the right hand window instead of just the file name. There are a few options such as viewing the files as a list or as thumbnails. It has immediate support for JPG, TIFF, Targa, PPM, PNG, and BMP formats.
Alive	Alive is a utility that fools your ISP (Internet service provider) into thinking that you are busy surfing the Web. Usually ISPs disconnect users if those users are not active for a period of time. Alive prevents this from happening by sending periodic signals that will keep your Internet connection active. The program includes an automatic start feature, Registry usage, and a better interface
BamBam	With BamBam you can record audio from CD, Line, Mic, or DAC stream input (at 44.1 kHz, in 16 bit, and in stereo). Record into memory or directly to hard disk. BamBam also loads AIFF, WAV, and 8SVX files. Audio data can be edited (with cut/copy/paste), played, or resampled to another sample rate, or converted to 8- or 16-bit mono or stereo; and effects can be used on all or part of the sample data. Effects include reversing, volume changing, channel swapping, and "zeroing." Data can be saved to disk in AIFF format.
BDH Calc	This fully functional 64-bit calculator that does standard arithmatic and logic on signed and unsigned integers. Features include: selectable word size from 8 to 64 bits; binary, decimal, and hexadecimal converstion (its namesake); ten memory registers; and a small screen footprint so it's not in the way. Standard keyboard equivalents work, and the user can copy the display (Command-C). Source is included. Drop this in your Apps folder, or put it on your desktop for quick access.
BeCommander	A file manager and FTP client all in one! This program starts out as a multi-window file manager. You can open as many windows as you like and drag and drop between them. Directory size is given at the bottom along with the number of files. You can save connection information and perform queries on various aspects of files such as dates.
BeInformed	Multithreaded, graphically on- and offline newsclient. Uses the advantage of the BFS and its indexing. BeInformed lets you use more than one host in one session and provides article/header download and postings. Authentification is implemented and works.
BeMP	BeMP is a GUI-based implementation of AMP, the popular MPEG audio decoder available on many platforms. It offers playlist support with drag-and-drop reordering, estimates total playing time of playlists, controls speed and pitch, and more. Version 1.22 fixes a few bugs.
BePDF	This app finally offers an answer to the lack of Adobe software for the BeOS. BePDF is a Portable Document Format (PDF) file viewer that runs on BeOS, so now you can view the PDF files you run across while surfing the Web
BePhoney	BePhoney can control many types of voice modems (Zyxel, Rockwell, and U.S. Robotics, for example) as well as nonvoice modems. It can also act as an answering machine. You can use scripting to configure how each incoming call is handled. Current features include caller ID decoding, voice messaging, and ordinary data calls. You can view, save, print, and drag and drop your received faxes. Caller ID service on the telephone line is supported but optional.
BeStripper	BeStripper is a utility for BeOS that lets you convert text files between a Mac OS, BeOS, and Windows/DOS platforms using a simple drag-and-drop interface.
BeTree	This is a file manager with a tree view for use on the BeOS. This version has an entirely new interface with drag-and-drop capabilities. It now has better "Rename" and "Create New Folder" functions, multiple volumes support (in the same window), and mounting/unmounting synchronized with the system.
Blender	Blender is a 3D modeling and animation package for BeOS It supports the modeling of polygon meshes, curves, NURBS, text, and metaballs, as well as animation with keyframes, motion curves, morphing, and inverse kinematics (IK). It also features particle systems, deformation lattices and skeletons, and a 3D view with animated rotoscoping. Other notable features include field rendering, several lighting modes, animation motion paths, animation curves, and vertex keyframing for morphing. Blender can read and write Targa, JPEG, Iris, SGI movie, and Amiga IFF formats, and can read Inventor files
Body Snatcher	BodySnatcher can replace telnet for connecting to a Mud. It supports multiple connections, separation of input and output, player command history, user definied colouration, triggers, highlights and gags.
CL Amp	CL-Amp is an advanced audio player that make use of the famous WinAmp's skins. Right now it can play mp3 (also variable rate), midi, mod, mtm, wav, aiff, snd, au, 669, amf, dsm, far, gdm, it, imf, med, m15, stm, stx, s3m, ult, uni, xm. It support plugins which will hopefully make more formats available in the future. Also able to cross fade and save audio as wave files
CMan	CMan is a Rolodex-like application that can automatically launch NetPositive and BeMail (or whatever application you associate to either) on defined fields. Download this file from within BeOS.
Corum III : Chaotic Magic	Choose one of three characters and take them through the adventure of a lifetime. It's your basic role playing, kill 'em all, type of game. The graphics are great and the action is very fast!
Eddie	Eddie is a full featured programmers editor, inspired by MPW on the Macintosh. Some of it's features include: Extensive superset of MPW/BeIDE- like keyboard shortcuts, fully customizable; Optional multiple keymaps, optional Emacs keyboard emulation and much more.
FliPlayer	A .fli movie player which fully supports drag & drop. You can drag a movie from one player window to another or load a file by dragging its icon from the Tracker. Now supports window resizing and zooming.
GimICQ	This is an instant message client that is compatible with AIM, ICQ, IRC, and Jabber. It's interface is currently like a cross between AIM and ICQ, leaning closer to ICQ. You can send messages and URLs. It will notify you when someone is online and when you get a new message.
GoGo	This is the BeOS binary distribution of GOGO, the MP3 encoder based on LAME and ISO, for BeOS R4.x Intel. GOGO is cabable of taking advantage of MMX, SSE, and 3DNow!, so it is very fast! (About twice as fast as LAME; faster even than the Xing MP3 encoder.)
GoGo-Gadget!	This is a GUI frontend to the great mp3 encoder "gogo".
ICBM	ICBM is the best ICQ clone for BeOS.
iscribe	A nice and easy mail client. It has a simple interface with easy to use functions. Contact lists are easy to create, import, and use. It has many of the options of most other clients such as signature files, reply-to, attachments, and more but, it is all so much simpler here.
LaunchPad	LaunchPad is a simple, docking-type launcher in which you can place and quickly access frequently used folders, files, and applications. Among other features, you can have multiple instances of LaunchPad strip present on your desktop. Folder navigation is handled much like it is handled under the BeOS Tracker.
MIDIPlayer	MIDIPlayer is a simple MIDI file player that is designed to be used with external MIDI equipment.
Quake II	Play the hottest game around! This is the fully functional game by id. Grab your gun and run. Find armor and health but, do it quick, because the enemy is right behind you trying to kill you. Supports network multiplayer capabilities.
Silver Wing	SilverWing is a Hotline client clone for BeOS. Hotline is a proprietary protocol of Hotline Communications that provides News, Chat and FTP.
StripChart	StripChart monitors the CPU and memory of the BeOS as an histogram/strip chart display. The user may display either each CPU or cumulative CPU, paging rate, and/or the running memory usage.
Surgeon	This is a nice Person file program. You can create and modify Person files with ease. This program is similar to People packaged with BeOS. This program has added fields and a note page. You can visit the person's URL with a simple click or e-mail the person.
WindowShade	This is a small hack for BeOS users that allows you to change the colors of window tabs and borders.
