Netscape 6

Netscape has finally released the long-awaited update of the tried-and-true Communicator browser suite, Netscape 6. The company has dropped the name "Communicator" from the suite; now the entire suite is simply called Netscape. For this release, the company rebuilt its browser's engine from the ground up, with help from Mozilla, a project aimed at creating an open source upgrade for the Netscape Communicator 4.x browser and email clients. It includes a standards-compliant browser, an email client, privacy tools, builder tools and a customisable interface that offers built-in support for multiple skins or themes.
