Frames and your Web page

Page division options

In our sample page we have used two of the possible ways of specifying frame size. There is no hard or fast rule as to which you should use -- your choice will be determined by your plans for your page and you can use one or a combination of them.

You can specify your page divisions as a fixed pixel value, a percentage of the browser window or the remainder of the browser window.

For example: Rows = 200,100,* creates three rows, one 200 pixels deep, one 100 pixels deep and one the height of the remainder of the browser window.

Cols = 100, 50%,* creates three columns, one 100 pixels deep, one 50 percent of the width of the window and the last the width of the remainder of the browser window.

Rows = *,4*, Rows = 20%,*, Rows = 20%,80% each of these settings creates two rows, the second being four times as high as the first.
