Introduction
After you've successfully installed Netscape Communicator,
you're ready to begin using it to put the World Wide Web to work for you.
About this book
This book provides information to help you get started
and get productive with Netscape Communicator, but not all Communicator
features are covered. You can find information about features not covered
in this book in Communicator's comprehensive online help system. See
"Using Communicator help" in Chapter 1,
"Welcome to Netscape Communicator," for information on using Communicator's
online help.
Depending on the type of operating system
you use--Windows, Macintosh, or Unix--Communicator varies slightly. This
book addresses all users, so system differences are noted in the text.
Except where system differences are noted, Windows refers to Windows 3.1,
Windows 95, and Windows NT systems.
Note
Some Communicator components described in this book
(Calendar, IBM Host-On Demand, and AutoAdmin) are only available in Communicator
Professional Edition.
