Associate Editor, EMedia Professional - in Cambridge, Mass.

EMedia Professional is seeking an Associate Editor who knows something about electronic media and possesses strong editing abilities, for the team in our Cambridge, Massachusetts-based editorial office.

Qualifications for an Associate Editor for EMedia Professional are strong manuscript editing skills, a magazine editorial record, demonstrable writing ability, and some experience covering computer technology, CD-ROM, Web, and multimedia, or other related electronic media subjects. Specific responsibilities include developing stories and working with authors and their manuscripts; writing articles and news features; and related editorial and marketing work, such as attending trade shows, organizing and coordinating monthly reports, and contributing to the editorial planning of the magazine and its related electronic products.

Copy Editor/Electronic Production Editor - in Cambridge, Mass.

We're seeking a Copy Editor/Electronic Production Editor to join the EMedia Professional team in our Cambridge, Massachusetts-based editorial office. This position serves a wide range of duties, and supplies an unusual opportunity to play a pivotal role in bridging print and electronic publishing.

Qualifications for this position include solid copy editing experience marked by strict attention to detail, habitual consistency, and unfailing accuracy. Some production editing background is required as well, including a facility with Quark Xpress. Knowledge of style library use in MS Word, and HTML is a plus. This position demands a well-organized person who can keep track of the editorial process as it applies to print magazine editorial production, Web publishing, and other electronic publishing techniques.
