LINCKS is an object-centred multi-user database system developed for complex
information system applications where editing and browsing of information in
the database is of paramount importance. The focus is on sharing of small
information chunks which combine to make up complex information objects used
by different users for different purposes.
Linked against libraries in Slackware 1.2 (4.5.24) and
X11R5 libraries version 3.1. lincks2.2.1.tgz contains source,
lincks2.2.1DB.tgz is a loaded database (same as in -bin.tgz), and
lincks2.2.1db.tgz is the same database but using smaller fonts.
X11 R5, at least 8MB of memory (needed by X11, too), kernel with networking
since LINCKS uses TCP/IP and RPC between clients and the server, C Libraries
version 4 (linked against 4.5.24) and X11 R5 libraries version 3.1.
