LINCKS - a multi-user OODBMS
- Version:
- 2.2 patch level 1
- Entered-date:
- 01JUL94
- Description:
- LINCKS Sources and Documentation
LINCKS is an object-centred multi-user database system developed for complex
information system applications where editing and browsing of information in
the database is of paramount importance. The focus is on sharing of small
information chunks which combine to make up complex information objects used
by different users for different purposes.
lincks2.2.1bin.tgz contains executables, documentation and a initialized (export)
database. This database can also be found in lincks2.2.1DB.tgz and in
lincks2.2.1db.tgz but using smaller fonts.
X11 R5, more than 8MB of memory needed to install from source
kernel with networking - uses TCP/IP and RPC, the original port was done on
kernel 0.99.12 under X386 1.3
