How to Install, register and run Gooey:

Installing
Once you have completed downloading, locate the setup file and double click on it to install Gooey on your computer. Follow the installation instructions; you might be asked to restart your computer. After the computer restarts, Gooey is added to your startup group and the Gooey icon is added to the system tray. If you are not asked to restart your computer, Gooey is added to your startup group and the Gooey icon is added to the system tray immediately. You are now ready to register with the Gooey server.

If it doesn't, open the registration window from your Windows Start menu by clicking Start -> Programs -> Gooey -> Gooey Register. Follow the instructions in the Registration program. You will be asked to pick a nickname, fill out basic information about yourself and register with the Gooey server. You will have the option of entering details that you want to be viewed by other users. After completing this process click on the Finish button, and you will receive a unique name from the Gooey server.
Running Gooey
Once you have registered with the Gooey server, all you have to do is to launch your browser. Gooey will automatically become active and display two small windows attached to each other:
  • The Nicks window displays the nicknames of all Gooey users currently browsing the same site you are. You can conduct a private chat with any of the users by double-clicking a nickname. To learn more about the Nicks window, see Help (select Help from the Gooey menu or click F1).

  • The GooeyBox window allows you to view and take part in the group chat conducted by the Gooey users currently browsing the site you are.
Click on the Gooey zone window at the right side of the Gooeybox to enjoy rich media content, fun games and cutting edge Flash animation. To learn more about the GooeyBox, see Help.

Note: You can position the Nicks and the GooeyBox windows to be floating on screen, docked beneath the browser, and/or attached to each other.
By default, the Nicks and GooeyBox windows are attached to each other. To separate the attached windows, click the Separate button in the GooeyBox ,or select Separate from the Gooey menu.
To dock the GooeyBox and Nicks windows beneath the browser, click the Docking button in the Nicks window or select Docking from the Gooey menu.

Each time you move to a new Web site, the list of users in the Nicks window and the GooeyBox window are updated, reflecting the current Gooey users on the site.

Check the Hitwave window for the most popular sites among Gooey users at any given moment. Open the Hitwave window from the Gooey menu or by clickling on the Hitwave icon.
