Ideas for the DancingText applet originated from the NervousText
applet which came with the Java Developers Kit. You must be using a Java-enabled browser such
as Sun's Hotjava or Netscape Navigator 2.0x to view this Java applet. If you have a Java-enabled browser,

DancingText has many improvements over the original NervousText:
-
Variable Pitch Font
-
Character width is now taken into account when drawing the text. The
result is more accurate spacing between the characters.
-
Off-Screen Buffering
-
Off-screen buffering was used in DancingText to avoid flickering.
-
Powerful Text Color
-
Option to customize color for the text. DancingText is able to use
linear shading to blend colors between any two user specified bound characters.
-
Background Color
-
Option to change the background to any color.
-
Shadow
-
Option to turn on or off the shadow for the text. The color and offset of the shadow
can also be altered.
-
Font Properties
-
Options to choose different font name, font style, font size and spacing between characters.
-
Dancing Properties
-
Options to configure the speed of the dancing and maximum dancing offset distance on both x and y-axis.
-
Open an Uniform Reference Locator
-
Option to choose a URL to navigate to when mouse click on the applet window.
This applet is written with the final 1.0 Java applet API
