SuperCD Updates
PC Plus has started using a product which can help us fix problems with our disks after they've gone to press. Sound too good to be true? See the SoftCD page for more details.
Of course, no one likes to make mistakes, and we're no exception. The inclusion of this software will in no way reduce the quality checking that already goes into our CDs. But if errors do slip through, we can now fix them.
Details of all issues that have updates will be posted to http://www.pcplus.co.uk/cdupdate.htm.Click here to check if there are any available.
If you would like to apply any updates that might be avalible, first you must install the SoftCD client from the SoftCD page. Then come back to this page and click on the link below to install the update to the CD.
PC Plus, issue 163: May 2000
Note: There is currently a conflict between SoftCD and the stand-alone browser, pcplus.exe. If you are using the stand-alone browser instead of the Internet Explorer interface, you will find that once an update is applied clicking it does not automatically launch into the browser. You will first be prompted to open a file. Select D:\pcplus.h2e, where D is the letter of your CD-ROM, and it will function as usual.
