Creating the base content

The publisher creates a master copy of the information to be distributed on the sales division's workgroup server (this could equally just be the publisher's hard disk, but the IT department automatically ensures backup for the departmental server, so this is a more managed environment).



This master copy simply contains copies of the 'sales' and 'website' folders from the company's Intranet. Because the departmental servers are managed by the IT department, the sales manager has also arranged with the IT department for these copies to be updated nightly from the Intranet itself, which contains the masters.

So that all users of the CD have ready access to SoftCD Client (which they will need to use it) the publisher has also placed a copy of the SoftCD Client installer here for easy access.

Finally a Readme file is included to tell users what's on the CD.
