With NetObjects Fusion 2, anyone can build a Web site that looks like a team of expert programmers and graphic designers labored over it for weeks. Frame-based navigation bars and pop-up site maps in this WYSIWYG editor help visitors find their way; every page is precisely and stylishly formatted; and graphics rotate or fade in. The reason the program is great for beginners is that Fusion locks you into one way of doing things, preventing you from hand-editing HTML code or easily rebuilding the same site elsewhere.

You create or modify pages in an editor that resembles a desktop-publishing program more than standard style HTML editors. NetObjects Fusion lets you create almost anything viewable in a browser, including most current HTML features, but not Cascading Style Sheets or DHTML. When building a site, you add and rearrange pages in a tree-structured site diagram, and navigation bars and other links are automatically regenerated when you add or move a page.
