Date Range

Unlike the Timesheet Grid, the Timesheet table needs information about the date against which an entry is to be made. This defaults to today's date.

This ability to specify a date range allows you to add entries for more than one day saving valuable input time. This is an ideal way to enter repetitive activities. For example, every Monday morning for the last month you might have spent an hour doing administrative work for a particular project; rather than having to enter each hour individually, you can enter the information just once, like this...

The Enter Timesheet Batch page lists all of the days of the week down the right hand side of the page, by default Monday to Friday are already selected for you. The check boxes alongside each day allow you to specify whether the timesheet entry you are making is to be applied to that day (or those days) during the date range you have specified.

In our example, administrative work is done on Mondays only… click the check boxes for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday so the check disappears. Now only Monday will be selected and a Timesheet will be entered against your selected Project and Activity every Monday during the date range specified.
