There are three versions of the interface, one to suit everyone's system. The TextOnly.exe version is one without any pictures and runs acceptably even on slower machines. The PcPlus.exe is the full compiled version with pictures but no animation. The full version with animation is available to Internet Explorer users who simply need to open the Index.htm page in order to start. To move through the pages, click on any of the highlighted links and to go back a level, click on the Back icon in the toolbar.

If you have an Internet connection you will be able to click on on-line links to WWW pages related to the programs and to any e-mail addresses for you to send mail to the companies.

When you click on a file, it will automatically be opened. However, if you are using Internet Explorer, then you will need to choose to open the file and not simply "download" it from the CD onto your hard drive.

If you are using the very latest version of IE3 (on this CD-ROM), you will also find you receive a security warning when you open a file. This should simply be OK'd.

Because some other browsers do not offer the option to open (execute) a file and simply try to download it, they will not be able to use the interface correctly. In this case, either install Internet Explorer or use the executable versions of the interface.

Although this CD-ROM has been thoroughly checked for viruses, we always recommend that you have a virus scanner running before you install any new software. To help you, you can install the evaluation version of McAfee Virusscan directly from here. Simply click on the version you want to install:

Windows 3.1, Windows 95 or DOS (you must run the Install.bat from the McAfee\DOS folder on this CD-ROM in DOS yourself to install this version).

Be sure to read the manual before using these programs. The software is updated every month, and the latest release can also be downloaded from the McAfee Web site at www.mcafee.com.

As programs can install parts in different directories, we also recommend that you use an uninstall shield to help you remove any programs you don't want. You can install WinDelete 2 directly from the CD-ROM.

We also ensure that a few other programs you might need are included. Some programs may require Video for Windows.

The Pod game requires the Microsoft Windows 95 drivers, Direct X. If you don't already have this installed, you can do so. Install Direct X 3. If you have Direct X 3 installed, but it is not the latest version, you can just install the library updates.

You may also need the Acrobat reader to read some documents.
