Setting Up a New Connection


To set up and open a connection to a remote computer, you can use the default (preset) Host On-Demand settings, or you can change them to the settings that you prefer. If you use the default settings, make sure the address of the remote computer to which you want to connect is correct. This is the address that appears in the TN3270E server field. If you are not sure what the correct address is for your remote computer, check with your network administrator.

To open a connection using the default settings:

  1. Click Connect to Host.
  2. When the logon window appears, logon to the host computer to begin your Host On-Demand session.
