Profile Setup Tutorial - Step 6: Auto-Reporting Tab

Here, we are looking at the Auto-Reporting tab. In the higher editions of AddWeb 4, you can automatically create reports based on your Submissions and Rankings. This is where you will set up the various options for these reports.

Auto-Reporting is not available in the Deluxe Edition of AddWeb Website Promoter.

A. Report Type

The first thing you will want to do on this tab is to select the type of report you want to create. We have designed the HTML reports to integrate with the reports from the Page Advisor and other reports available in AddWeb 4. We suggest these reports for the ease of navigation and easily read information if you are viewing the reports locally or posting them to a Web Server for others to view. If you prefer sending E-mail reports, this option is also quite useful. Make sure that the SMTP settings in the Preferences are in place if you are sending E-mail reports.



B. Report Style

Once you have decided the Type of report you want to create, you will want to select the Style. AddWeb 4 is delivered with the Default Style. If you are interested in other Styles, please read the Detailed Documentation on Reports.



Now, select a report to generate automatically when your Submission or Ranking is completed. Just click on the report and it is selected.



C. Where to put it and what to put in it

Now there are some options for where and how the reports will be created.



The defaults should be fine for now. The Detailed Documentation in the help file will point you in the right direction for making changes to these if you find the need.

Finally, the E-mail reports can be sent with an introduction message at the beginning of the report. If you are sending E-mail reports, and wish to send a message with them, just type the message here and it will be sent with the report.
