INI and Form Fields

The following is a full list of Import and Autorun fields with a description of each field below them. For greater detail on specific fields, please read the Profile Setup Tutorial or Detailed Help in the main help file (AddWeb 4.chm).

[AddWeb4 Profile]
This heading must be at the top of EVERY import file.

Website Information

%_PROFILE_NAME_%
This is the saved name of the profile IF it gets saved into AddWeb for repeated use. You may wish to place your tracking information into this field. You may not have duplicate Profile Names in AddWeb 4.

%_URL_%
This is the complete URL of the customers web page in a URL Encoded format and should be generated through the forms processor.

%_URL_FULL_%
This is the complete URL for the customers web page in simple text. i.e. http://www.customer.com/products/index.html

%_URL_PROTOCOL_%
This is the protocol of the customers web page. It will likely be http:// or https://. You should force a selection in your form for this.

%_URL_HOST_%
This is the domain for the customers website. Every thing from the first w (in www.) to the last m (as in .com) and nothing on either end. i.e. www.customer.com. the http:// or index.html should NOT be in this field.

%_URL_PATH_%
This field contains the remaining portion of the URL. Everything past .com such as /products/index.html

%_DEFAULT_ENGINE_LIST_%
This is the name of a saved Engine List that was created in the Profile Setup section of AddWeb 4 by selecting search engines and saving them as a list. Submissions for this import file (Profile) will be made to the engines in this list.

%_TITLE_%
This is the Website Title and should be the <Title> tag in the web page for this profile.

%_DESCRIPTION_%
This is the Website Description and should be the contents of the Meta Description in the customers web page. This field should be URL encoded.

%_KEYWORDS_%
This is the Website Keywords and should be the contents of the Meta Keywords in the customers web page. This field should be URL encoded.

%_IS_ADULT_%
This is either Y or N and defines the basic focus of the customers website.

%_IS_COMMERCIAL_%
This is either Y or N and defines the basic focus of the customers website.

%_IS_MLM_%
This is either Y or N and defines the basic focus of the customers website.

%_IS_PERSONAL_%
This is either Y or N and defines the basic focus of the customers website.

%_MAIN_CATEGORY_%
This is a numeric value for the Top Level Category from the Main Category section of Profile Setup. For a complete list of these categories, click here.

%_SUB_CATEGORY_%
This is a numeric value for the Second Level Category from the Main Category section of Profile Setup. For a complete list of these categories, click here.

%_RECIPROCALURL_%
This is the customers 'Links to other Websites' page. This is the full URL to that page and should be URL Encoded.

%_UNIQUE_NAME_%
This is a unique name used for login to some engines such as NBCi. (Snap.) and should be very unique for this purpose.

%_UNIQUE_PASSWORD_%
This is a unique password used for login to some engines such as NBCi. (Snap.) and should be very unique for this purpose.

%_COUNTRYCODE_%

This is the Website Country of focus. This may be different than the customers (Website Owner) country of origin.

%_PROFILE_NOTES_%
This field is for notes associated with this profile and are never sent to search engines. They can, however, be inserted into Custom Reports.

%_PROFILE_RANK_KEYWORDS_%
These are Keywords that will be used with the Rank Check feature for saved Profiles. If you are not saving the profiles in AddWeb and just submitting them to the engines, this field and other ranking fields will not be required. These Keywords should be separated by commas, and this field should be URL Encoded.

%_PROFILE_RANK_URLS_%
This is a list of URLs that the customer is interested in getting Ranking results for. They should contain the URL without the prefix (i.e. HTTP://) but might include the path (i.e. /products/index.html). Multiple URLs in this field should be separated by %3B which is the URL Encoded semi-colon (;).

%_PROFILE_RANK_UNIQUE_TEXTS_%
This field should contain a unique text string associated with the URL in question. If you allow multiple URLs for ranking, you should separate these text strings with the same %3B and the order of input should coincide with the listing of URLs. These text strings are typically pulled from the Title tag of the web page in question.

%_PROFILE_RANK_SEARCH_DEPTH_%
This is the depth of searches used for ranking. You should probably set this yourself. 50 is suggested as results above this are generally ignored by people performing these searches.

%_PROFILE_REPORT_STYLE_%
This is the Report Style for reports generated and possibly sent to your customers based on submissions. Please read the Profile Setup or Reports sections of the help file for more information on this and other Report fields. All Report fields should be predetermined by you. Unless you have created your own report style, the value that should be in this field is Default

%_PROFILE_REPORT_STYLE_FILE_%
Associated with each report is a report file. This file will be different based on the Style of the report you are creating. With the Default Style and by selecting the Profile Data only report, the value of this field is ProfileDataOnly.ini. For a list of file names and definitions, please click here.

%_PROFILE_REPORT_NAME_ON_%
This field is your company name as you would like it to appear on the reports. This field will be a text link to the URL entered in the %_PROFILE_REPORT_URL_% field when HTML reports are generated.

%_PROFILE_REPORT_URL_%
This field contains the full URL to your company home page and is NOT URL Encoded. Include the HTTP:// and the page if necessary.

%_PROFILE_AUTO_EMAIL_REPORT_%
All three Auto-Report (HTML, Text and E-mail) fields are Yes/No and should contain either Y or N to determine if this type of report should be generated. Any, None or All three reports may be generated for any profile.

%_PROFILE_REPORT_CUSTOM_MESSAGE_%
This field is for a custom message that you can include at the beginning of E-mail reports. You can fill this field with that message. The information here should be URL Encoded.

%_PROFILE_REPORT_EMAIL_TO_%
This is the E-mail address you will be sending any E-mail Reports to. Remember that there are two different E-mail fields in an AddWeb Profile. This one is for Reports and the other is to be sent to the search engines as the customers Spam collector.

%_PROFILE_AUTO_HTML_REPORT_%
All three Auto-Report (HTML, Text and E-mail) fields are Yes/No and should contain either Y or N to determine if this type of report should be generated. Any, None or All three reports may be generated for any profile.

%_PROFILE_REPORT_HTML_DIR_%
This is the location on your hard drive (local or network drive according to the machine AddWeb 4 is installed on) that you wish to save HTML reports to for this profile. It should look something like this: C:\PROGRAM FILES\ADDWEB4\Reports\Output\%_PROFILE_NAME_%
Note the trailing backslash is not required. Also, using the shown format naming the directory as the Profile Name will help to keep these reports organized.

%_PROFILE_REPORT_IMAGE_DIR_%
You can include your own company logo image in HTML reports. This field is the local directory on your hard drive that the image you wish to use is located. Please DO use the trailing backslash in this field.

%_PROFILE_REPORT_LOGO_IMAGE_%
This is the image file located in the image directory that you wish to use for reports. the JPG or GIF format are suggested here.

%_PROFILE_AUTO_TEXT_REPORT_%
All three Auto-Report (HTML, Text and E-mail) fields are Yes/No and should contain either Y or N to determine if this type of report should be generated. Any, None or All three reports may be generated for any profile.

%_PROFILE_REPORT_TEXT_DIR_%

This is the customers name in a Last, First format and should look something like this: Flintstone%2C+Fred

%_COMPANY_%

This is the Owner Company field and should contain the Website Owners Company Name. Note that all Website owner fields use URL Encoding.

%_JOBTITLE_%
This is the Owners personal standing in the company he/she works for. i.e. President, Marketing+Director. Note that all Website owner fields use URL Encoding.

%_FIRSTNAME_%
This is your customers First Name. Note that all Website owner fields use URL Encoding.

%_LASTNAME_%
This is your customers Last Name. Note that all Website owner fields use URL Encoding.

%_ADDRESS_%

This is your customers Address field and should contain the Website Owners mailing address. Note that all Website owner fields use URL Encoding.

%_CITY_%

This is your customers City field and should contain the Website Owners City. Note that all Website owner fields use URL Encoding.

%_STATE_%
This is your customers State field and should contain the Website Owners State. Note that all Website owner fields use URL Encoding.

%_POSTAL_%
This is your customers Postal or Zip Code field and should contain the Website Owners Zip Code. Note that all Website owner fields use URL Encoding.

%_OWNER_COUNTRYCODE_%
This is your customers Country field and should contain the Website Owners Country in two characters. See the Country Code section for a complete list.

%_NORMALEMAIL_%
This is the E-mail address that E-mail reports will be sent to. This E-mail address will NOT be sent to any search engines and is used by AddWeb only as a destination for E-mail reports. It is suggested that you use a method of E-mail verification before permitting this field to be accepted.

%_EMAIL_%
This is the E-mail address that will be sent to the search engines as the customer contact. Spam mail will be sent here if the profile is submitted to Link Directories or Server Side Submission sites. It is suggested that you use a method of E-mail verification before permitting this field to be accepted.

%_PHONE_%
This field is the complete Work Phone number and should always be inserted like this EXACTLY.
%_PHONE_%=%_WORK_PHONE_COUNTRY_%%_WORK_PHONE_AREACODE_%%_WORK_PHONE_PREFIX_%%_WORK_PHONE_LAST_%+%_WORK_PHONE_EXTENSION_%

AddWeb will read in the translations from the other associated fields.

This field is the complete Work Phone number and is always inserted into a Profile as

%_WORK_PHONE_COUNTRY_%
This is the customers work phone Country field and should contain the website owners work phone country code. (Note that this is a numeric country code and NOT the two character country code associated with the customer or website Country).

%_WORK_PHONE_AREACODE_%
This is the customers work phone Area Code field and should contain the website owners work phone Area Code.

%_WORK_PHONE_PREFIX_%
This is the beginning portion of the customers work phone number after the Country and Area codes. Local calls to this customer would start with this number group.

%_WORK_PHONE_LAST_%
This field contains the end of the work phone number before the extension is dialed.

%_WORK_PHONE_EXTENSION_%
This is the customers work phone Extension field and should contain the Website Owners work phone extension.

%_FAX_%
This field is the complete FAX Phone number and should always be inserted like this EXACTLY.
%_FAX_%=%_FAX_COUNTRY_%%_FAX_AREACODE_%%_FAX_PREFIX_%%_FAX_LAST_%+%_FAX_EXTENSION_%

AddWeb will read in the translations from the other associated fields.

%_FAXNUMBER_%
This field is the complete Work Phone number and is always inserted into a Profile as
%_FAXNUMBER_%=%_FAX_%

Note the URL Encoding around the variable. This is required.

%_FAX_COUNTRY_%
This is the Owner FAX field and should contain the Website Owners FAX country code. (Note that this is a numeric country code and NOT the two character country code associated with the customer or website Country).

%_FAX_AREACODE_%
This is the Owner FAX Area Code field and should contain the Website Owners FAX Area Code.

%_FAX_PREFIX_%
This is the beginning portion of the customers FAX number after the Country and Area codes. Local faxes to this customer would start with this number group.

%_FAX_LAST_%
This field contains the end of the FAX number before the extension is dialed.

%_FAX_EXTENSION_%
This is the customers FAX Extension field and should contain the Website Owners FAX extension.

%_HOME_PHONE_%
This field is the complete Home Phone number and should always be inserted like this EXACTLY.
%_HOME_PHONE_%=%_HOME_PHONE_COUNTRY_%%_HOME_PHONE_AREACODE_%%_HOME_PHONE_PREFIX_%%_HOME_PHONE_LAST_%+%_HOME_PHONE_EXTENSION_%

This is the customers home phone Country field and should contain the Website Owners home phone country code. (Note that this is a numeric country code and NOT the two character country code associated with the customer or website Country).

%_HOME_PHONE_AREACODE_%
This is the customers home phone Area Code field and should contain the Website Owners home Area Code.

%_HOME_PHONE_PREFIX_%
This is the beginning portion of the customers home phone number after the Country and Area codes. Local calls to this customer would start with this number group.

%_HOME_PHONE_LAST_%
This field contains the end of the home phone number before the extension is dialed.

%_HOME_PHONE_EXTENSION_%
This is the customers work phone Extension field and should contain the Website Owners work phone extension.

FTP Settings
FTP Settings are ONLY required if you are to be uploading pages for your customer to their website. These settings and options should not be used in most instances. References to Proxy servers are in regards to your own computer connection and if you require proxy access to send files through FTP, use those settings here.

Proxy Type
If one of the three settings below is Yes (Y), the other two must be No (N). These should be a radio selection if the option is given.

Is proxy access required to send files via FTP? Y or N

%_PROFILE_FTP_NEED_PASSIVE_%
Is passive proxy access required to send files via FTP? Y or N

%_PROFILE_FTP_NO_PROXY_%
Is proxy access not required at all to send files via FTP? Y or N

%_PROFILE_FTP_PROXY_%
This field contains the name of the Proxy Server. i.e. proxy.mydomain.com

%_PROFILE_FTP_PROXY_PORT_%
This is the port number that FTP access is granted through. Port numbers are by nature numeric.

%_PROFILE_FTP_NEED_LOGIN_%
If an active login to the proxy server is required, this should be marked with Y and the user name and password listed below will be used for that login.

%_PROFILE_FTP_PROXY_USERNAME_%
If login to the proxy server is required for FTP access, this is the user name for that login.

%_PROFILE_FTP_PROXY_PASSWORD_%
If login to the proxy server is required for FTP access, this is the password for that login.

FTP Server
These settings are for the FTP connection and uploads.

%_PROFILE_FTP_SERVER_%
This field contains the FTP server URL location. i.e. ftp.mydomain.com

%_PROFILE_FTP_PATH_%
This field contains the remote directory on the FTP server for default directory for uploads. Remote navigation will start here. i.e. /pub/htmldocs/

%_PROFILE_FTP_PORT_%
This is the FTP port for the FTP server you are connecting to. The default port for most FTP servers is 21

%_PROFILE_FTP_USERNAME_%
This is the FTP server login name.

%_PROFILE_FTP_PASSWORD_%
This is the FTP server login password.

Submission Data

The following fields should all contain 0
's and nothing else. These are fields that AddWeb requests and adjusts for saved profiles.
