Description of Report Fields


Auto-Reporting settings can be accessed by first clicking on the Profile Setup Icon in the AddWeb 4 Menu Bar, and then clicking on the tab "Auto-Reporting." Please note that Auto Reporting is only available in the Platinum, Pro and Enterprise versions of AddWeb 4.


Select Report Type to Automate
This allows you to select the type of report you wish to generate. Text will generate ASCII text reports, HTML will generate reports formatted for a web browser, and E-Mail will generate reports that AddWeb 4 can E-Mail.

ASCII Text
ASCII Text is the standard method of viewing raw text in most computers. This type of report will be viewed in Notepad if possible. If a report is too large for your computer to view through Notepad, it is likely that you will be asked to view the Report in Wordpad or Word.

E-Mail
E-mailing Reports to your website Owners can save a lot of time and effort. E-mail Reports are created as ASCII Text and sent automatically to the Reports E-mail address associated with the Profile.

HTML
HTML reports are designed to be viewed in a web browser such as MS Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. They are designed to be pleasing to the eye and easy to read and navigate.


Report Style to Automate
This is the look and feel of the Reports AddWeb 4 generates for you. AddWeb 4 comes with a single Report Style (Default). Some people will create a new Style of reports and submit them to Cyberspace HQ for download by others. To send us Report Styles, upload it to ftp://ftp.cyberhq.com/newstyles/ (anonymous login). Include a readme.txt file with your name and URL (E-mail address if you wish to be contacted by those that download it). To download new Styles, go to ftp://ftp.cyberhq.com/getstyles/.

Custom Reporting
In the Platinum, Pro and Enterprise versions, you can write your own report styles and scripts. We give you access to our reporting engine through the use of variables that you can use in your own HTML pages! All you have to do is place the HTML page (or text) in the proper directory and let it go! There is a learning process involved in using this feature because of the power behind it.


Available Reports in Selected Style
Once you have selected a report style, all reports available in the style will appear in this list. Simply click on the report you wish to generate. Note that when you click on the report, the description appears below in the Report Description section.



Send E-Mail Reports to:
If you have selected to generate E-Mail reports, you should enter the E-Mail address you wish to send the reports to in this field.


Automated Report Options
These are settings associated with the Report Type selected.

Text Report Dir:
If you have selected to generate a ASCII Text Report , this field specifies the folder it will be saved in. The browse button allows you to find a directory on your hard drive.

HTML Reports Dir:
This is the folder on your hard drive that HTML reports will be saved to. You may browse your hard drive for a different folder to store these reports if you like.

Path to Images:
This tells AddWeb 4 where to find any custom graphic that will be used in reports.

Logo Image:

URL on Reports:

Name on Reports:

Send E-Mail Reports To:
This is the E-mail address any E-mail Reports will be sent to. It is the same e-mail address that is included in the website Owner section of Profile Setup.


Custom Message for E-Mail Reports
You can enter a custom message here for E-Mail report recipients. This can be any message you like. Simply enter your personalized message in the available space.
