Details: Hardback. 176 pages.
Contains: Over 160 photos (color, b&w). Bibliography. Filmography. Index.
This stylishly-designed book contains a decent but unexceptional selection of photographs, but is worth having for the unusual text. Yes, there is the requisite biographical material, but Ms. Rooks also includes a section on Marilyn impersonators, a reproduction of Tony Curtis' comments about Marilyn during a promotional event at Grauman's Chinese Theater, and a small section on the marketing of Marilyn's image.
