This booklet, produced by the British Film Institute, is a rather academic analysis of a star (Marilyn Monroe) as a manufactured image. It is intended as a study guide for students and teachers. It comes in a clear plastic wallet, along with a cardboard folder. The folder contains 10 loose sheets with reprints of articles from a number of newspapers and magazines. The articles are listed below:

The author says that she based most of the story on facts gleaned from well-known MM biographies (such as Fred Lawrence Guiles'), but then also filled-in the blanks here and there using her own imagination. I haven't had time to read it yet so I don't have much to add beyond that…
