While she's got an enviable career, she also has an enviable life. Since 1993 she's been seriously dating the brilliant illusionist David Copperfield. Rumors that their well publicized courtship was off were belied by the size of the stone on her left han d (visible in the picture at right). The two, in fact, are engaged to be married. Copperfield was also in New York making his first appearance on Broadway. He, too had been at the DISHES event a few nights before, but stayed in the shadows. Claudia and Fr ederique had hosted the event. David, sources told us, was very nervous because his Broadway debut was the next night and he was suffering a serious case of butterflies.

We told Claudia we were from SUPERMODEL.COM. She looked at us a little suspiciously. Many models have very mixed feelings about the Web. Having their photos plastered all over the Internet means great exposure -- something of questionable value to a megam odel like Claudia. But they have no control over which pictures go up, and most of the sites offering model's pictures are using the images illegally.
