Roshumba: The Jamaica shoot. Well lets just say that was the first project that I did. I produced it on my own, and the purpose of it was to create calendars and posters, and desk diaries and any other Roshumba paraphanalia that you could think of from them. But the shoot was wonderful. It was fabulous because Jamaica is my favorite Caribbean island. I love the place. It has a rich and deep and soothing and nurturing spirit there. It's gorgeous. It smells good. I mean everything there that you could think of wanting is at your disposal, and the shoot was fun. It was a week shoot of myself, my assistant, camera man, make-up artist, hairstylist and stylists. I really don't need a hair stylist, but I had one anyway. It was just fabulous. Everyone got along very well. We had a very busy schedule because we shot about twenty-five different looks, and we shot in the waterfalls which were gorgeous. When I think about the water trickling down my body I get kind of tingly. The red clay shots, those were the ones that I loved the most, simply because it was this rich earth that came up with all these nutrients. It was actually red and I just rolled around in it for a while. It felt so good. A lot of the raft shots were pretty incredible because they were on the boats, on the rafts , and the waters were blue; incredibly gorgeous. We stopped at some of the markets and hung out with some of the local people. You know we had a really good time. We sipped a little, ate a lot. We just had so much fun. I just wish you guys could have been there. It was so fabulous. RR: Perhaps in the next shoot you will invite us to watch you do your thing. Roshumba: Well on the next shoot I would love to have you.
