The restlessness of the contestants waiting in line (photo above) was palpable as Elite scouts eyed them. This was the first cut. The goal, of course, was to get inside Fashion Cafe any way they could, then hopefully get selected as one of the finalists.
After being chosen to continue, each of the candidates remaining on line stepped forward for the next scout (pictured at right). It was she who made the final decision about who made it inside. As each of those selected went in, they were escorted to the dressing rooms by male escorts dressed in black. Many of them seemed stunned and wide-eyed as they made their way through the assembled crowd. They were one major step closer to realizing their dreams, and for some it seemed almost scary.
