![]() Nicole Miller Partners Up for New Theme RestaurantFashion designer Nicole Miller (pictured, holding up a SUPERMODEL.COM tee shirt -- no, she didn't design it, but it could happen) has just teamed up with some non-fashion-industry-related partners in a new venture, TV City. Designed to be both a restaurant and television studio, the new venture will open April 30 in what used to be Lindy's, across from Radio City Music Hall in New York. Nicole's role so far hasn't been selecting menu selections or who will appear on TV. She designed the uniforms for the waiters and waitresses.Joining her as partners in the venture are: Joan Rivers, soap diva Susan Lucci, Regis Philbin, Jill Eikenberry, TV producer Steven Bochco and Michael Tucker The restaurant's theme is unique. Diners can avail themselves of the talk show setting, or, if they feel so inclined, they can tape a news broadcast of themselves delivering headlines in front of a White House backdrop. When all is said and done, they walk out with a video tape. A major part of the restaurant's motif will be 132 television sets. |
