"...Put Her in A Pumpkin Shell?"
The "New York Post" reports that Billy Corgan, Smashing Pumpkins frontman, and supermodel Helena Christensen have been seen together in Denmark. Christensen was there to visit her family. Corgan's wife, Christine Fabian, filed for
divorced around the Christmas season. The couple has been seperated for some time now and Corgan has been seen with other ladies, Christensen being his latest. The two probably started seeing each other last September at a Pumpkin party following the MTV
Video Music Awards. Corgan and Christensen were also spotted at a recent birthday party for Christy Turlington in Dublin, Ireland. Christensen denies that there's anything to the sightings. "We just have a friend in common." Yeah, right!
Fairchild Stepping Down, End of an Era
The "New York Post" reports thatJohn B. Fairchild will be stepping down, after 35 years as editorial director of "Women's Wear Daily" in March. It will be the first time in the 103-year history of Fairchild Publications that a non-family member
will be running WWD and nine other publications. Patrick McCarthy currently VP, will assume Fairchild's chairmanship and will become editorial director on March 6 when Fairchild steps down and at 70 years of age. Fairchild will continue to be edit
or-at-large for WWD, especially in Europe, and he will continue writting his monthly column for W magazine under the pseudonym Louise J. Esterhazy.
