The Spice Girls, a British rock group, were shopping in Macy's in NYC. While cruising through the store, they bumped into fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger. After some basic chit chat, Hilfiger agreed to dress the group for their next vide o for free!.

While Tommy Hilfiger is on our minds, he has just joined forces with Stride-Rite Corp., to sell his licensed Tommy Hilfiger sneaker and casual shoe line. Stride-Rite is glad to have Hilfiger with them because they have been losing money and mar ket share for years. But now they're hot! Hilfilger's line of men's shoes hit the market last Sunday (Feb. 2, 1997). Retailers and Wall Street are really excited about this new venture and expect it to sky-rocket (shares already picked up in a three week period by 25%)!
