From Runway to March's Covers

Model Laetitia Casta (pictured), has stolen the hearts of many, even before her seductive trip down the runway during the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Casta, an 18-year-old French, blue-eyed, blonde, will grace t he March covers of "Mademoiselle," "Glamour," and "Cosmopolitan". Not bad for a relative newcomer. Looks like we've got a new rising star.

Models in Birthday Suits To Protest Fur

This isn't the first time it's been done, but it has to be the largest group to have done it. Eight models from the Boss agency went naked last October to produce a poster protesting the fur trade. Joel West, Simone Van Baal, Marcus Schenkenberg, Johann Urb, Kim Iglinsky, Andrea Boccalletti, Susan Carman and Tua Fock went out to Times Square in their underwear last fall to be photographed. The poster comprising their naked appearances has been p rinted and will be used in ads for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). In the past, the bare-all approach has been highly successful. Fur sales in the US are down by 50%! Among those appearing in earlier campaigns, which offered the tag li ne "I'd rather go naked than wear fur," were Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford, both of whom loaned their remarkable bodies and good names to the cause.
