Dishes on Ice

The "Daily News" (December 2, 1996) reports that supermodels Claudia Schiffer, Linda Evangelista, Frederique and Roshumba, will be putting on their ice skating dresses tonight to raise money for the pediatric AIDS benifit " DISHES." It's going to be held at the Wollman Rink in NYC. It was one year ago at the DISHES on Ice benifit that Frederique met N.Y. Rangers captain Mark Messier.

The "New York Post" (November 30, 1996) reports that Wilhelmina model Donna Marie Eller is the new president of the Models Guild. The guild is celebrating its one-year-anniversary. It was founded to protect models from being manipulated and pai d low fees for the work they do. The union is really more for the newcomers in the field who are young and inexperienced and who will do and spend anything to get their foot in the door.
